| ARTE INATTESA TUTTO È INIZIATO COSÌ... È ormai da tempo più che evidente che le mostre svolte nelle gallerie d'arte hanno purtroppo perso parte della loro importanza sia per i curiosi sia per gli addetti ai lavori, i primi intimoriti dall'ambiente inutilmente austero delle gallerie e dall'astrusità delle opere esposte, i secondi subissati ogni giorno da decine di inviti a inaugurazioni spesso noiose. Il risultato è che le mostre passano quasi inosservate, a volte anche quando ad esporre sono nomi universalmente conosciuti. Ma l'arte è fatta per essere vista, l'opera d'arte si completa solo attraverso l'occhio di chi guarda, e più occhi ci saranno più l'opera sarà completa; le gallerie quindi non rappresentano più un supporto sufficiente per un artista alla continua ricerca di qualcuno che porti a compimento le sue opere. Se i fruitori non vanno all'arte, sarà bene che l'arte vada ai fruitori. Per questi motivi, ma anche perché è più che giusto che l'arte faccia parte integrante delle città (ovvero del nostro habitat "innaturale"), abbiamo deciso di dare il via ad una serie di esposizioni cittadine in quel di Milano, cuore pulsante della cultura italiana. |

Saranno sempre esposizioni a sorpresa, scenografiche e ovviamente del tutto innocue; nel tentativo di ridare all'arte quell'aspetto spettacolare che sembra aver completamente dimenticato e di offrire, a chi vive la città tutti i giorni, qualcosa di diverso dal bombardamento di immagini pubblicitarie e dalla visione di monumenti tanto enormi quanto inutili. La nostra sarà un'arte inattesa, perché non preventivata, ed anche in attesa di un completamento da parte di chi la guarderà. Il nostro percorso di artisti inattesi inizia, con un piccolo assaggio delle nostre potenzialità, il pomeriggio del 2 Maggio 2002, all'inaugurazione del MiArt alla Fiera di Milano, proprio dove l'arte dovrebbe essere di casa e dove, per poter accedere, bisogna farsi rotella di un ingranaggio perfettamente oliato, ma che con l'arte c'entra poco e niente. Cosa faremo? Naturalmente non possiamo anticiparlo; ma se verrete, vedrete. L'appuntamento quindi è per questa prima esposizione inattesa e per le prossime incursioni artistiche, per le quali daremo annuncio a tempo debito. Milano, 28 Aprile 2002 |
| UNEXPECTED ART IN THE BEGINNING... It's now more than evident that galleries exhibitions have unfortunately lost part of their importance for both art lovers and experts, the first ones intimidated by the austere look of the galleries and by the abstruseness of the works exposed, the second ones overwhelmed daily by invitations to hundreds of boring openings. The result is that the exhibitions pass almost unnoticed, sometimes even when famous artists exhibit. But art is made for being seen, works of art are completed only through the eyes of the audience, and the more they will be, the more the works will be complete. Galleries don't represent anymore a sufficient support for an artist in search of someone who will complete his works. If people don't go to the art, the art has to go to the people. For these reasons, but also because art deserves to be part of the cities (in other words, our "unnatural" habitat), we have decided to start a number of city exhibitions in Milan, the pulsating heart of the Italian culture. |

They will always be sudden exhibitions, scenographical and, obviously, absolutely harmless. Attempting to give back to art the spectacularity that seems to have been completely lost and to offer, to those that live the city every day, something different from the usual bombardment of advertising and from the vision of useless monuments. Ours will be an unexpected art, because unplanned, and also because expecting completion on the part of those that will look.
Our journey as unexpected artists begins, with a taste of our potentialities, the afternoon of May 2nd 2002, at the opening of the MiArt, at the Milan Fair. Though here art should be at home, to be a part of the event it is necessary to become part of a mechanism that has nothing to do with art. What we will do? Naturally we cannot anticipate it; but if you will come, you will see. The appointment is for this first unexpected exhibition and for the next artistic raids, for which we will give announcement in due time. Milan, 28 April 2002 |
